ENGLISH BOWLING FEDERATION BOWLS WEEK
At the recent EBF mixed rink competition held at Potters, Hopton-On-Sea, the Club were represented by Anne and Peter White, John Vaudin and Nolan Catterwell. Around ninety ‘Fours’ took part including several ‘rinks’ from the Shetland Isles. Not only did Anne, Peter, John and Nolan contribute to the Northants retaining the team trophy but in the end were disappointed to go out in the semi-final. Requiring two shots to force an extra end, they lost out on the Umpire’s measure to lose the game 4 – 5. Our disappointment was made up by the fact that we had a great time socially, Potters really is an exceptional resort.
CLUB SPONSORSHIP

Bowls Coaching – Peter Cox will be running a six week coaching course commencing on Sunday 14th May. These will be open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the game or to those who would like to improve their game by getting the benefit of Peter’s experience on a one to one basis.
Green maintenance – Regular green maintenance takes place on Friday mornings. Therefore the green will not be available for play until after 14.00 on Fridays, please bear this in mind when organising any matches.
